The review for the exhibition curated by Simone Guidotti

" nineteenth century, photography has particularly affected the perception of the artists, but at the same time a new medium for the representation of 'reality ' has made its charges aesthetic and rules dictated by the painting, so it can maintain that the very invention of photography was born as an inevitable transformation of artistic perspectives, looking for images captured by the eye rather than by the mind. The poetics of light, already essential and indispensable element of photographic research, is one of the most significant artistic culture references ... "

So we read in some scholarly catalog of exhibitions dedicated to painting in particular macchiaioli you know, but in your case, and as you probably know me, the question is somehow reversed.
In your works, dear Sandra, the techniques have changed order, and the painting becomes the inevitable transformation of a photographic way of seeing all the natural world so that you're passionate about, to cut out those little pieces that are rarely seen, but rather obvious for anyone familiar with the photographic practices. Moreover, the possibility of going beyond a single moment and unique, but to process it with suggestions, feelings, and complicity in retrospect, makes it even more alive and lived all of your picture.
Behind those birds, those little animals, the full nature of light and color that you propose to us, there is only and exclusively your sensitivity, your passion, your knowledge converted from the ability to thought and craftsmanship that nature itself has given you, no case of macchiaiolo six grandchildren.
