In fact, from Brazil to the United States, passing through Venice, multiply the projects to use them to produce biofuels environmentally friendly. The latest example of this is from the U.S. where a group of researchers at the Rochester Institute of Technology is exactly experiencing the production of biodiesel using algae. The algae used are those that grow in treatment plants waste water, extracting the most polluting chemicals. The algae in question, then, are not what we usually see on the beaches but they are single-celled organisms that have the right characteristics to produce the fuel.
