We live with the knowledge that the € 5 for Vogue are better spent. Carrie did not eat at times to buy fashion magazines where the models look. The fashion mags take us home Heads of tailoring that we could never afford a pair of scissors and a photo and somehow we can wear, for better or worse, a YSL. But have you ever noticed the words? Sometimes there are, are useless at times, what matters is to look at the pictures, as children in kindergarten. Here is a list of words found in fashion magazines. Here is a list of their true meanings.
- L'enfant terrible (slut girl)
- Eco-chic (feeling guilty about killing animals)
- Boho chic (dressing up like E.T.)
- The next Kate Moss (snow not only on the ground)
- Vintage (old cast-off clothes are so fresh&clean)
- The new black ( generally it’s still black)
- Très chic (beret, black&white, pois)
- Cool (at least for the next 2 weeks)
- Intelligent prices. (run girl, you can finally afford something)
- Country chic (this close to Amish-ville)
- Vip (tacky)
- Modern (from the 80/90s)
- Avant-garde (from the 60/80/90s)
- Retro (you need the body for this)
- Working girl (wax free)
- Preppy (you won’t be never as good as Blair, so forget it)
- Hit (dress up like everyone else)
- Must (dress up like everyone else)
- “In” (dress up like everyone else)
- (…) & the city (Carrie Bradshaw wannabes)
- Safari (really?)
- It girl (copy her, fast!)
- The new Audrey Hepburn (yeah, you wish)
- Femme fatale (slut mom)
- Rockabilly (fake tatooes, rock attitude but calm down you can keep listening to Taylor Swift)
- Muse (really rare)
- Deluxe (too expensive)
- Flower party ( “Florals? Fro Spring? Ground breaking.”)
- Sport chic (you can wear Chanel to gym, but you’re gonna sweat no matter what)
- Minimal (easy guide for fashion jerks)
- Pin-up (being fat)
- Made in (…) (usually Italy)
- Techno fashion (I sincerly don’t know what Techno Fashion is)
- Fabulous at every age (you’re too old for nipple covers)
- Perfect match (copy and get out of that door)
- Key pieces (Birkin)
- Basics (white tshirts? wow)
- Risky business (don’t even try that in your mind)
- Deluxe (old ladies with lots of money)
- Most wanted (you can’t afford it anyway)
- Mix & Match (you have to be really good at this)
- The next Marilyn Monroe (yeah, you wish)
- Work the (+ a trend) (you need the physic du role)
- Material girl ( a simple way to abhor diamonds for breakfast)
- Icon (copying)
- Curvy (fat can be cool too)
- The next Brigitte Bardot (yeah, you wish)
- Militar (no, just no)
- Pop (being 16 for-evvah)
- A star is born ( MaryKate Olsen)
- From Paris/Russia with love (fur)
- Smart shopping (cheap)
- Comeback (Fashion is the major comeback of all times)
